Positions are available for experienced Software Engineers in Sierra Vista, AZ, home of the U.S. Army Intelligence Center and School at Ft. Huachuca. These full time positions are for qualified individuals with knowledge and experience in software development and testing to optimize system performance and sustain computer processing/operations in a depot support environment by solving software-related problems and working closely with other contractors and government personnel. The ideal candidates will be capable of performing analysis of software and system operations and has experience in the utilization of operating and database management systems; will be capable of performing maintenance and administrative functions including: system configuration and modifications; adding, removing, and replacing hardware and software; will be able to perform system startup, shut down, backup and restoration; will have experience with database administration and maintenance; and familiarity with system user access control. Demonstrated proficiency with contemporary software, languages, development methodologies, architecture, and operating systems is highly desirable. A substantial background in communications and communications connectivity and experience performing stand-up training is desirable. Assignments vary and involve a skill base that includes any or all of the following: ADA, C, C++, FORTRAN, PASCAL, ASSEMBLY, BASIC, SGML, Visual Basic, X-Windows, and other programming languages; UNIX, Windows, and Windows NT operating systems; Web technologies including Net Web, SOAP, Applets, JSP, IIS Web Server, Apache Web server; Scripting Languages: ODP.NET, XML, JavaScript, HTML/DHTML, and TCP/IP; Database administration and development with SQL, SQL Server, Oracle, client/server, and Internet connectivity; Familiarity with MS Visual Studio, .NET, SourceSafe, Test C++, Visio, other; Familiarity with software development methodologies, system administration, security and cryptology. Military experience is highly desirable. An ideal candidate will be capable of performing analysis of system operations and will have experience in the utilization of operating systems and database management systems; will be capable of routine system maintenance and administrative functions including: system configuration, and modifications; adding, removing, and replacing hardware and software items; will be able to perform system startup, shut down, backup and restoration; will have experience with database administration and maintenance; and will have familiarity with system user access control. A substantial background in communications and communications connectivity is desirable. Military experience is highly desirable. Candidates must be available for assignment to various foreign and domestic sites for extended terms.
Full time position is available to develop and maintain Oracle Database Server. Objects including Tables, Views, Functions, Procedures and Packages. Develop and maintain web based applications in an Oracle 10g Application Server/Portal Environment. Experience with Oracle Developer development, Web programming skills including HTML, JavaScript and using JSP, Pl/SQL or Perl and Oracle 8i or other relational database management systems.
Duties include, but are not limited to; preparation of lesson plans for the MOS 97E Human Intelligence Collector course of instruction; delivery of classroom instruction to active duty military personnel at Ft. Huachuca, AZ; prepare and evaluate class critiques and evaluations; initiate and respond to customer inquiries and comments in both written and oral form; attend peer group meetings as required; prepare written reports of activities at such times and frequency as directed; maintain proficiency in course skills and content; and update lesson plans in concert with revised Army regulations, critiques, directives, and others as necessary. Minimum Qualifications: Formal training is mandatory (i.e., completion of MOS 97E course conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army Intelligence Center). Must also have completed formal language training (Arabic is preferred) or meet the civilian acquired skills criteria listed in AR 601-210. Must be able to obtain a security clearance of SECRET. High school graduate or equivalent and 12-months active duty in MOS 97E. Post high school education is desirable; preference will be given to courses in teaching methods, applied psychology, and linguistics. Good voice quality and able to speak English without objectionable accent or impediment. U.S. citizenship required. Salary commensurate with experience; GPI is an equal opportunity employer.
